A LONG but Good Day Overall.
We didn’t run our best team or overload any one athlete and ran some athletes in off events to get in work.
Still Mather finished 2nd of 15 teams in the meet. Some Meet Highlights (all times are FAT) |
Hurdles | Rangers go 1-2
in Boys. Roger(8.12) and B Shaw(8.16) Both won their prelim heets and there was no Finals

knows how quick roger can be but coach goto keeps saying b shaw’s coming on strong. These 2 put on
a good show everytime outJ

Dash | Varsity Girls go 2-3. Kellion goes 7.48 KG 7.64 Both looked
strong and easily won their prelim heets. |
Jumps | Jorge stays
consistent in long jump at 19-11 finishing 2nd . Makini has a nice 14-7 effort.
In F/S triple the boys ameen(36-7) marcus(32-5) and vonte (30-2) all mark PR efforts. Kayla finishes
3rd in F/S triple at a nice 26-2. In Var Boys triple Darryl improves to a strong 38-3.
And Ashley High Jumps a 4-8 PR. |
1600m | Another
good showing for the rangers. Michelle finished 3rd in F/S girls in 6:37. The trio of George(76-243-410-530) Tarik (76-243-410-538)
and Abdel (76-243-418-541) ran a smart, strong, together race. Teresa lapped her heet (83-253-430-603)
and finished 2nd overall in the varsity race. Justen (68-224-341-457) and Eddie (70-227-344-454)
finshed 1-2 in their heet 3rd and 4th overall and are starting to see results from their hard
work in training J |
3200m | Ivan finished 2nd in his 1st 3200 of the season.
His (75-74-75-79-79-78-81-72) 10:16
puts him well ahead of last season. On F/S Boys George (11:32) Tarik (11:39)
and corey (12:17) dominated the field
taking 1st , 2nd , and 5th . Marily ran away from all F/S girls winning in 14:01. |
800/4x8 | Monica
ran alone in her heet going 35-36-38-41 2:30.11 and will chase the 2:24 next week at lewis. Eddie ran top split in the 4x8 going 30-63-137-210.6

200m / 4x200m | One of the Day’s Biggest highlights was an IPTT qualifying 1:49.21 by the varsity girls.
Kellion lead off with a strong 26.3 to KG whose 26.2(WOW) is the fastest indoor 200m she’s ever put on a track.
Chequia 28.1 and Makini 28.4 brought us around with .03 to spare below the auto standard. CONGRATS
GIRLS J Kayla ran an impressive 31.71
finishing 3rd in F/S girls. Rahim was 6th in F/S boys in 26.01. |
4x400m/ 400m | Web
easily wins the open 400 in 25-53.77. The boys 4x4 wins easily also roger(57.3) jorge
(53.8) web (53.5) and shaw (54.6) run 3:39.2. The girls ran a strong 2nd
place 4:26. kg (64.95) makini (68.1) kellion (67.5) chequia (65.9). |
Throws | Ameen Improves to 42-1.5 finishing 4th. Yvette finishes
5th in JV girls at 25-4. Ethan throws a nice 38-9 PR. |
